Main Masters - Users Authorisation

For information about the default settings that the staff have access to per Role and level, please see - Default User Access Permissions in the System

 

The Users Authorisation section under Masters provides easy access to the admin to update user permissions and user access.

Easy Navigation

A breadcrumb at the top-right corner provides easy navigation to other pages - Home, Masters, and Main Masters page.

Show Permissions

You can easily see the access permissions granted to users according to their roles by following these steps:

  1. Select Role
  2. Select Role Level
  3. Click Show Permissions

Copy Authority

You can copy the authority of one Role/Role Level to another by following these steps:

  1. Select Role and Role Level
  2. Click the orange copy icon beside Show Permissions. Another row will appear.
  3. Select To Role and To Role Level
  4. Click Copy Authority
  5. A successful alert message will be displayed.

Expand/Collapse View

You can easily expand or collapse the menus by following these steps:

  • Click plus icon beside Menu Name to expand all the menus.

  • Click minus icon beside Menu Name to collapse all the menus.

You can also expand or collapse sub-menus under any menu by following these steps:

  • Click the expand icon to open the list of sub-menus under any menu.

  • Click the collapse icon to hide the sub-menus under any menu.

Set/Revoke Permissions

You can set permissions of a role and role level by following these steps:

  • Check the tick-box  against the respective menu to allow access to the selected page. The icon under Permissions will change to a green lock, signifying the user will be able to view the selected page. A successful alert message 'Permission updated successfully' will be displayed.

  • Uncheck the tick box against the respective menu to revoke access to the selected page. The icon under Permissions will change to a red lock, signifying the user will not be able to view the selected page. A successful alert message 'Permission updated successfully' will be displayed.

  • Partial access can also be granted to a page by selecting only those sub-menus for which access has to be allowed. The icon under Permissions will be a yellow lock, signifying the user is granted partial access to the page. Some sub-menus will be accessible, and some sub-menus will not be accessible according to the selections made.
