How can I limit my employee's maximum worked hours?
The first way that hours may be limited is through entering VISA details/restrictions to their working rights - this can be managed via our VISA Hours Regulation Program. However, it only covers workers who have a limitation to their working rights (i.e., are not a permanent resident or citizen).
If you want to limit the hours automatically for members in terms of what shifts they can and cannot pick up, the Fatigue Management growth module would be ideal. You can set restrictions based on:
- Qualification
- Industry
- Employment Type
Or at a global level - which then restricts either how many hours a member can work in a given period or based on the shift type (e.g., cannot work a night shift into a morning shift). This can appear as either warnings or hard stops to your internal staff and external users (members and professionals via the portal) - importantly, whilst it may stop members picking up shifts off the app that would exceed their hours, instead allocators may simply be given a warning that they can override.
Please note that this is an additional paid feature - for more information or to book a demo session to see more, please contact the support team.
