FAQ: How to make minor changes to awards for specific clients?

In some instances, certain clients may have slightly different award rules - for example: different timing of breaks - which require differences in award interpretation. To make these changes, you are best to create a new award for this client with most of the details intact from the previous iteration. To do this:

  1. Create a new (empty) award:
  2. Use the duplicate award option:Once selected, you will need to nominate the 'From Award' and the 'To Award' details - which is used to select which details will be copied across, select the new award as the 'To Award' and the old award as the 'From Award':
  3. Once duplicated across, make any required changes - such a in the minimum meal break timing or any other conditions:
  4. Connect the new award to relevant clients:
  5. Test as required to ensure that the new rules have applied correctly
