9.5 - Enhancement - Applicant Portal

Employee Type in TFN Declaration

In the Applicant Portal, you can select the Employee Type for the TFN Declaration from the available options. The Employee Type is available for selection in the ‘On what basis are you paid option in TFN’ field and options include Full Time, Part Time, Casual, and Labour Hire.

You can select any Employee Type option in the TFN Declaration form and by default, Casual Employment Type is selected for the member. For STP reporting, the system will report Employee Type ‘C' for Casual, ‘P’ for Part Time, 'F’ for Full Time, and 'L' for Labour hire. 

If the Employment Type is not declared by the member in the TFN Declaration form, in that case, the Employee Type is reported as Casual 'C'. 

The new Employee Type selected by the member/ applicant in the TFN Declaration form is reflected in the Staff Portal. You can view the selected Employee Type by clicking the link ‘Click here to View Applicant Details’ in the TFN Declaration Via Single Touch Payroll page.
