Error Code when submitting a timesheet: "The shift has recently been updated, press ok to refresh"

What happened?

In some cases, if a shift has already had a timesheet submitted and is later reinstated, the system may still hold the original timesheet in the backend. This prevents a new timesheet from being submitted against the same shift.

How can I fix it?

If this occurs:

  1. Duplicate the original shift.

  2. Assign the member to the new duplicated shift.

  3. Submit the timesheet against this new shift.

This process ensures the timesheet is recorded correctly and avoids conflicts with the old data.

Why does this occur?

This happens because the system retains the association with the first timesheet, even after reinstating the shift. It’s a known behaviour and can be managed using the workaround above.
